ERROR DESCRIPTION
Student has exited Special Education with Reason Exited “Reached Maximum Age.” A School Enrollment record will need to be reported for this student with the Exit Code 208 “Maximum Age.”
DETAILS
The Special Education record for the student states the reason for exit is “Reached Maximum Age”, however the student enrollment record does not have a matching Exit Withdrawal Type. If the student is exiting from Special Education services, there are very specific student enrollment Exit Withdrawal Type codes to coordinate with the Special Education Reason Exited codes.
Note: The student enrollment Exit Withdrawal Type and Special Education Reason Exited codes chart can be found in the ADVISER Data Elements guide for the appropriate school year in the ADVISER Resource website.
FIX
If the student is exiting Special Education and has reached the maximum age, then the Exit Withdrawal Type on the enrollment record needs to be changed to “208” (Maximum Age) in the SIS and then sent into ADVISER.
If the student is exiting Special Education and has not reached the maximum age, the Special Education record in the SIS or SRS needs to changed to the appropriate Reason Exited and then sent into ADVISER.
If the student is still receiving Special Education services and attending school, the Reason Exited in the Special Education record in the SIS or SRS needs to removed and then sent into ADVISER
