ERROR DESCRIPTION

Students are listed as less than 50% FTE at your district, but have a different resident district. These students are not counted in your membership report.

DETAILS

The Full-Time Equivalency (FTE) represents the ratio of time a student is assigned to a school for instruction or services compared to the hours of a full educational program. A student’s FTE should be based on their individual educational program. Students with an FTE greater than 50% as of October 1 will be included in Fall Membership. However, students reported with a Grade Level of HP (Prekindergarten-less than six hours) or PK (Prekindergarten-more than six hours) will be included in Fall Membership regardless of their FTE.

This is a warning in ADVISER intended to prompt districts to review the students’ data and verify that they are being reported accurately.

Note: Full-Time Equivalency definitions and examples can be found in the ADVISER Data Elements guide for the appropriate school year in the ADVISER Resource website.

FIX

If the student’s FTE is correct, you can archive the warning in ADVISER. For assistance with archiving an error, please see ADVISER Validation Quick Reference Guide.

If the student’s FTE is incorrect, update it to the appropriate value in the enrollment record within the SIS and submit the updated information to ADVISER.

If the student’s District of Residence is incorrect, update it in the enrollment record within the SIS and submit the corrected information to ADVISER.
