Absence duration (attendance duration) is reported as 0.00 on a School Attendance record. This record will effectively not be counted as an absence for attendance purposes.

Typically, an absence is counted as more than 0. Without a number greater than 0, there is really no absence to report. An absence (or Event Duration) is the portion of the regular school day, up to two decimal places, that applies to the Attendance (i.e. Absence) Event. FIX
From your SIS, ensure the absence record shouldn’t really be zero. Update the information to what it should be (a full day is 1.0, a half day could be 0.5) and then send that information into ADVISER.
