ERROR DESCRIPTION
A Title I Part A Program record was reported for a student with a Service code not appropriate for Title I. Please update the Tile I Program record to remove the invalid Service code and to replace it with a valid code (for example: 9 – Title I Reading ELA) if necessary.
DETAILS
A Title I Part A program record should be reported for any students that meet any of the following criteria at any time during the school year:
- Title I services provided to nonpublic students (always considered “targeted”)
- Services in a Title I Targeted Assistance School
- Title I funded Early Childhood services (not part of a schoolwide project)
The student is being reported as a participant in a Title I Part A program with an invalid “Service” code.
Note: Students served in Title I Schoolwide programs are not reported individually in ADVISER. Detailed information on reporting the program information, including “Service” information, can be found in the ADVISER Data Elements guide for the appropriate school year in the ADVISER Resource website.
FIX
If the student is enrolled in a Public Targeted Assistance Program, enter the correct code in the “Service” field of the Title I Part A Program record in the SIS and submit the updated data to ADVISER.
If the student is enrolled in a Nonpublic school system, enter the correct code in the “Service” field of the Title I Part A Program record in the SIS and submit the updated data to ADVISER.
If the student is not enrolled in a Nonpublic school system or participating in a Public Targeted Assistance Program, remove the Title I Part A Program record from the SIS and submit the updated information to ADVISER.
