ERROR DESCRIPTION
A student was reported with a Title I Part A program record that does not have a valid Title I Participant type. Please update the Title I Part A program to indicate that the student is either participating in a public targeted assistance program or that they are a nonpublic student. If neither of these cases is true, the Title I Part A program record can be deleted.
DETAILS
A Title I Part A program record should be reported for any students that meet any of the following criteria at any time during the school year:
- Title I services provided to nonpublic students (always considered “targeted”)
- Services in a Title I Targeted Assistance School
- Title I funded Early Childhood services (not part of a schoolwide project)
The student is being reported as a participant in a Title I Part A program with an invalid “Title I Part A Participant” code. The student is either participating in a public targeted assistance program OR they are a Nonpublic student.
Note: Students served in Title I Schoolwide programs are not reported individually in ADVISER. Detailed information on reporting the program information, including “Title I Part A Participant” information, can be found in the ADVISER Data Elements guide for the appropriate school year in the ADVISER Resource website.
FIX
If the student is participating in a Public Targeted Assistance Program, update the “Title I Part A Participant” field in the Title I Part A Program record to “Public Targeted Assistance Program” in the SIS and send to ADVISER.
If the student is attending a Nonpublic school system, update the “Title I Part A Participant” field in the Title I Part A Program record to “Private school students participating” in the SIS and send to ADVISER.
If the student is not attending a Nonpublic school system or participating in a Public Targeted Assistance Program, the Title I Part A Program record is removed from the SIS and sent to ADIVSER.
