709 – No Instructional Days Defined in Calendar

Article Contents

ERROR DESCRIPTION

No instructional days have been defined in the listed Calendar tracks. If the calendar has students assigned to it, there will not be any attendance data reported for them.

DETAILS

No instructional days have been defined in the listed calendar track(s). The instructional day represents the portion of the day during which instruction occurred. Only one Instructional Duration is submitted per day per calendar and is used by NDE to determine the total number of Days in Session for the calendar. Any reported Instructional Duration is considered in-session time, regardless of the associated Calendar Event field. Districts determine whether a shortened or partial day is reported as a full or partial instructional day, and Event Duration is prorated accordingly.

If students are assigned to this calendar, no attendance data will be reported for those students.

Note: Calendar definitions can be found in the ADVISER Data Elements guide for the appropriate school year in the ADVISER Resources website.

FIX

Update the calendar to include the appropriate instructional days in the SIS and submit the updated information to ADVISER.
