710-Invalid NDE Student ID Number Format

The NDE Student ID reported for a Student record is in an invalid format, it should be a 10 digit number with no leading or trailing spaces.

ERROR DESCRIPTION

Each student entering the Nebraska school system is assigned a 10-digit NDE Student ID, which remains with them throughout their educational career. This ID can be located or created in the ADVISER Person ID system. The error indicates that the student’s ID is being reported in an incorrect format, either with too few digits or too many characters.

Note: The definitions of “NDE Student ID” can be found in the ADVISER Data Elements for the appropriate school year on the ADVISER Resource website.

FIX

If the student’s ID is correct, ensure there are no leading or trailing spaces in the “NDE Student ID” field in the SIS and then submit the updated information to ADVISER.

If the student’s ID is incorrect, enter the correct ID in the “NDE Student ID” field in the SIS and submit the updated information to ADVISER.
