805-English Learner Student Reported as “Dismissed Via IEP Review” Does Not Have a Special Education Program

ERROR DESCRIPTION

A student was reported with an English Learner program record that indicates they are no longer participating in the EL program due to being dismissed from it via their IEP review meeting. This student does not have a Special Education program record reported that indicates they have an IEP. Please correct the EL program record or submit the missing SPED program record.

DETAILS

If the student is being dismissed from the English Learner Program via IEP, a Special Education record is required in ADVISER.

Note: English Learner and Special Education Program information can be found in the ADVISER Data Elements guide for the appropriate school year in the ADVISER Resource website.

FIX

If the student is receiving Special Education services and being dismissed from the English Learner Program via IEP, send a Special Education Program record to ADVISER from the SIS or SRS.

If the student is not receiving Special Education services they can not be dismissed from the English Learner Program via IEP. Remove the indicator for “Dismissed Via IEP Review” in the SIS and send to ADVISER.

If the student is still participating in the English Learner Program, remove the indicator for “Dismissed Via IEP Review” in the SIS and send to ADVISER.
