ERROR DESCRIPTION
Student has a school enrollment record with a Residency Status of 08 “Open Enrollment Option Student” but the district is not a Learning Community district.
DETAILS
Beginning with the 2017-2018 school year, no new open enrollment option students should be reported with the code “08” (Open Enrollment Option Student), previously referred to as Learning Community Open Enrollment. Instead, if a student is optioning into the district, their enrollment record should be reported with the code “06” (Optioning in from another Nebraska public school district)
Note: The definitions of Residency Status can be found in the ADVISER Data Elements for the appropriate school year on the ADVISER Resource website.
FIX
If the student is optioning into the district, set the enrollment Residency Status to “06” (Optioning in from another Nebraska public school district) in the SIS and submit the update to ADVISER.
If the student is a resident, set the enrollment Residency Status to “00” (Not Applicable) in the SIS and submit the update to ADVISER.
