819 – Special Education Student With Exit Reason SPED11 “Transferred to Another School District (Moved Known to Be Continuing)” Without a Following Special Education Program Record

Article Contents

ERROR DESCRIPTION

Warning – a student was reported by your district with a Special Education Program that included the SPED11 “Transferred to Another School District (Moved Known to Be Continuing)” exit reason, however no following Special Education Program record has been reported by a Nebraska public school district. Please verify this is the correct SPED exit reason for your student.

DETAILS

A student was reported with a Special Education Program exit reason of SPED11 (Transferred to Another School District (Moved Known to Be Continuing)). However, no subsequent Special Education Program record for this student has been reported by any Nebraska public school district. This indicates that although the student was reported as transferring and continuing services elsewhere, no receiving district has reported the continuation of Special Education services.

Note: The Special Education Reason Exited codes can be found in the ADVISER Data Elements guide for the appropriate school year in the ADVISER Resource website

FIX

If the student did not transfer to another Nebraska public school district or is no longer receiving Special Education services, update the exit reason in the SIS or SRS to the appropriate code and submit the updated information to ADVISER.

If the student did transfer and is continuing services, confirm the receiving district has reported the student’s Special Education Program record. If needed, contact the receiving district to coordinate reporting.
