565 – Dual Credit Course Reported for Student Below 9th Grade

Article Contents

ERROR DESCRIPTION

A Course Grade record with a Dual Credit Code that indicates the student was dual enrolled in this course (reporting either a 1 “Yes” or 2 “No”) while the student’s current grade level was lower than 9th grade.

DETAILS

The Dual Credit Code identifies whether a student earned both high school and postsecondary credit for a course. Dual credit reporting is valid only for students in grades 9–12. Students enrolled in grade 8 or below are not eligible for dual credit, and their Course Grade records must not include a Dual Credit Code.

FIX

If the student is in grades 9–12, verify that the student has an enrollment record in the correct grade level within the SIS. Update the enrollment information as needed and resubmit the record to ADVISER.

If the student is in grade 8 or below, the Course Grade record must not include a Dual Credit Code. Either remove the Dual Credit Code from the course information, or update the student’s schedule to a non–dual credit course, as appropriate. Submit the updated information to ADVISER
