ERROR DESCRIPTION
Students with a residency status code of 01 “Contracted in from another Nebraska public school district” at a district should have a corresponding residence status of 05 “Contracted out to another Nebraska public school district” from their resident district. You may be getting this error if the contracted out district has not reported their School Enrollment yet. If you are the resident district you need to report a school enrollment record with a residency status of 05.
DETAILS
A student is reported with a Residency Status Code of “01” (Contracted in from another Nebraska public school district) but there is no matching enrollment record from the resident district with a Residency Status Code of “05” (Contracted out to another Nebraska public school district).
For contracted students, both districts must report corresponding records:
- The attending district must report the student as residency status 01 (Contracted In).
- The resident district must report the student as residency status 05 (Contracted Out).
This error may appear if the resident district has not yet submitted the student’s School Enrollment record for the current school year. If you are the resident district, you must submit a School Enrollment record with a residency status of 05 in order for the records to align.

FIX
Attending District
If you are the attending district, verify that the student is correctly reported with Residency Status Code “01” (Contracted in from another Nebraska public school district.).
- If reported correctly, contact the resident district to ensure they submit a corresponding School Enrollment record with Residency Status Code “05” (Contracted out to another Nebraska public school district.)
- If not reported correctly, update your SIS and submit to ADVISER.
Resident District
If you are the resident district, verify an enrollment record for the student with Residency Status Code “05” (Contracted out to another Nebraska public school district.) is in the SIS. If not, update your SIS and submit to ADVISER.
