715 – School Enrollment Exit Withdraw Date Not Within School Year

Article Contents

ERROR DESCRIPTION

The Exit Withdraw Date of a School Enrollment record is not within the minimum and maximum dates allowed for a school year (7/1 through 6/30).

DETAILS

The Nebraska Department of Education defines the school year as spanning from July 1st to June 30th. A student’s enrollment Exit Withdraw Date must fall between July 1st and June 30th of the corresponding school year. This error indicates that the Ext Withdraw Date provided is not within the appropriate school year.

Note: Enrollment “Exit Withdraw Date” definition can be found in the ADVISER Data Elements guide for the appropriate school year in the ADVISER Resource website.

FIX

If the student is enrolled in the current school year, update the Exit Withdraw Date on the enrollment record in the SIS to a valid date within the current school year (between July 1st-June 30th), and submit the updated information to ADVISER.

If the student is not returning to the district (summer transfer) during the current school year, update the Entry Date to July 1 and ensure the Exit Withdraw Date is set to a date prior to the first day of school on the enrollment record in the SIS. Submit the updated information to ADVISER.

If the current school year is completed and the student will not be returning to the district the following school year, update the Exit Withdraw Date to a date after the last day of school and on or before June 30th on the enrollment record in the SIS. Then, submit the updated information to ADVISER.
